Republicans do know something after all

TREASURY OVERFLOWING WITH REVENUES

There was news over the weekend that the federal deficit (that is, the difference between what the government spends and what it collects, for those of you in government schools) is going to be smaller this year. In fact, $100 billion less than previously forecast ( http://www.forbes.com/home/feeds/ap/...ap2865171.html ). And the reason? Why it's increased tax revenues, of course. In fact, tax revenues are coming in twice as fast as predicted.

So where is all this money coming from? Higher than usual tax receipts from corporations...and an increase in revenues from individual taxes on stock and bonuses. The federal government is swimming in cash. You may be wondering what prompted such an increase. Surely the federal government must have raised taxes. Nope.

Actually, it was the other way around. These increased revenues can be directly attributed to the Bush tax cuts of 2003, particularly the cut in taxes on stock dividends. It's simple: give people more of their own money back and they'll put it to work, creating additional revenues. Over the years, in case after case, cutting taxes has increased tax dollars flowing into the treasury. This is blasphemy to the left....they want to collect more of your money to pay for all of their vote-buying schemes.

Now..if simply cutting these taxes causes all of this economic activity, imagine what eliminating the income tax altogether would do? That would be the beauty of the Fair Tax. Remove all income taxes. Unleash the economy. When that happens, the federal government will have so much money it won't know what to do with it. And that would truly be a first.

And just for the purpose of clarity, that is from a majorly conservative site so everything the GOP does is golden.

I don't like it when either side goes and puts articles that shine fake sunshine up our butts to try and make us see how good they are, be that GOP or Democrat.

It was bipartisan(sp?) enough for me. It is the truth however. Their was an article in the Bristol paper about it not very long ago. I looked for it but had no luck.

Well I liked being able to buy gas without selling blood....

In all truth, I didn't think Clinton did a bad job as far as being president. His personal life definitely left something to be desired, but I think he was ok.

I personally can't stand either side most of the time, that's why I tend to poke fun at the obviously tainted views be they GOP or Democratic. I've learned that there are good people who support both sides, and there are good elected officials on both sides, but there are complete losers on both sides as well. The ones I can't stand are the people who say "Oh yeah there are good people in the [insert other party name here] but the [party they support] is always better". That makeup is a joke! Be honest that you would vote for Hitler if he was running for your party and I can at least respect conviction, but when people try to act like they are giving unbiased information, or are so close minded that they can not see anything the other party does as good, have to go back to the previous or the previous previous administration to give credit.
